my approach
My approach is highly integrative, relational, holistic, and depth-focused. This means that I collaborate with clients and tailor my approach to their specific needs and goals, taking into account one’s mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. I help my clients better understand their beliefs, patterns, and experiences—both what is conscious and unconscious— so that we can get things feeling better. When we make space for our full humanity to be known and held with compassion, meaningful shifts can occur.
I come to my work with openness, warmth, curiosity, and creativity, tending to what my clients are experiencing in the here-and-now.
Whether you are looking to process difficult feelings and experiences, improve your relationships, gain additional tools and skills, or simply feel better, therapy can support you in addressing what matters most.
I believe the best therapy happens when we bring our authentic selves into the therapy room so that a genuine connection can form. The quality of the relationship between client and therapist can have a profound effect upon the therapy itself, leading to greater results and change.
As fellow humans—and as some say “fellow travelers”—we’ll sit together and help you navigate whatever challenges life brings.
It is my intention to offer trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirmative, and culturally-responsive therapy from a place of curiosity and continued learning. All parts of your identity are welcome within our work together.
In fact, because I take a holistic approach to therapy, I believe identity is an important part of understanding not only who you are, but how these unique factors shape your life experience.
Hi, I’m Kelsey (she/her). I’m so glad you’re here.
I’ve always been empathetic, creative, a deep thinker, and a sensitive feeler. Those close to me have described me as friendly, warm, grounded, and good-humored. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been endlessly curious about the human experience— why we do what we do, what draws us to other people, and what makes us, us? To me, psychology is where science meets the human spirit. I love that I get to do work that is both meaningful to me and allows me to ponder these questions. Beyond this, I’m honored to support my clients as they explore their own questions and curiosities.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade working as a fashion designer in Los Angeles, New York and the Midwest. My experience working in a corporate design setting left me feeling burnt out, lost, and in search of my calling. This led me to begin therapy, which changed everything for me.
I earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. There, I deepened my love for the imaginal, symbolic, and unconscious elements of the psyche and soul. I also received clinical training at Women’s Clinic Counseling Center, Open Paths Counseling Center, and Early Childhood Development Associates in Los Angeles.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our sweet rescue pup (River), working on creative hobbies, browsing bookstores, and catching up with friends over tacos. I dabble in learning about astrology (Pisces sun, here) and tarot for fun, and I love a good metaphor.

how it works
Getting started can feel daunting.
Here’s how it works.
-
Step 1
Book a free 15-minute phone or video consultation here. On the call, we will briefly discuss what issues you are currently facing and what prompted you to reach out. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have. When you’re ready, you can book a session with me through my website.
-
Step 2
We’ll meet for a first session either in person or virtually. I will get to know more about you, your current issues, history, and other pertinent information to help us begin our work together. If we feel like a good fit, we’ll go ahead and schedule weekly sessions.
-
Step 3
We’ll begin meeting weekly for 50-minute therapy sessions. Weekly therapy offers you consistent support and allows us to build a strong therapeutic relationship so we can best address your goals.
